Class Info

Beginner Classes:  (usually ages 7 - 12) 
Students will learn basic hand sewing, functions of a sewing machine and safety rules. Students will also learn how to use a seam gauge, sew a button, pin, pivot and hem.

Projects will start with a decorative pillow and child's apron. Small class size (maximum 5 students) allows for a lot of one-on-one instruction and of course a ton of fun!!! 



Weekly Class:   
One hour class a week with instruction/project ideas.
Email instructor for different day/time possibilities.

Tuition:  $45 a month


Open Sew/Help with your project:   
2 hours 
Email instructor if times aren't posted yet and you'd like to request a day/time.
One class at a time commitment.

Tuition:  $20 a class

Beginner supplies needed to start:
  • 1/2 yard of fabric for pillow (cotton or cotton/poly blend)
  • 1 yard of fabric for apron (cotton or cotton/poly blend)
  • Thread to match
  • Bring a sack lunch each day (summer camp)
  • Decorative button (optional, a basic button will be provided) 
  • If you wish to bring your own sewing machine  - please tell instructor.
